Title: Global Sales Manager – Shipping & Trading
Duties: Conduct commercial trading of niche commodities like Heavy Crude bbls, LCOs, IFO, and clean products such as LSMGO, LSD in the Central American & Caribbean regions. Prepare the P&L calculations and optimize all the costs related to each trade. Liaison with brokers in chartering vessels and ensure that all the operations are carried out properly with the respective trade. Handle relevant documents related to the trade like the L/c’s LOI’s, liability, insurance, and all other customs documentation. Appoint third-party service providers like agents, cargo surveyors, and other parties according to the company’s policy. Monitor the vessels’ itinerary and liaison with the agents, master, and all the relevant parties to ensure a smooth delivery. Optimize the logistics and handle discrepancies to ensure settlement of third-party claims. Coordinate with the accounts department to ensure all the payments are done on a timely basis. Develop fuel and related business on the physical supply operations in the Central American region mainly delivering IFO380/180, LSMGO/LSD, lube oils to ship, and power plants by barge and trucks.
Other: Full time. Travel involved to unanticipated client locations within the US.
Requirements: Master’s degree in InternShipping or equivalent +1-year experience in job offered or related. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience accepted.
